Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently being held at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Other than posting a birthday message to his daughter Love on October 15, he has not been active on Instagram.
He also has more than two dozen lawsuits filed against him, with the list continuing to grow. However, his kids (specifically Christian (King) Combs) are attempting to make a comeback.
The Combs’ kids takeover
On November 5, Diddy’s kids posted a video all together singing Happy Birthday to their father. According to the caption, the video made Puff Daddy’s day.
The next day, though, Christian Combs decided to announce his own message.
“Yo, wassup y’all? It’s King Combs. And right now, I’m taking over my pops’ Instagram. We gonna be posting videos, spreading good energy, and taking y’all down memory lane of all the positive things he did. So stay tuned and watch this, let’s go. We love you, pops,” Combs said.
So far, music videos for songs like “It’s All About the Benjamins” have been posted with the caption, “My pops motivation to making music is always to make us dance and feel good.” Jr. Combs also brought attention to Diddy’s relationship with Biggie, posting a video of them in the studio from 1994.
The comments are still on (which is more than Drake can say), and the response to the attempted positivity is mixed, with some users not understanding that Diddy isn’t the one behind these posts and others seeing it as a failed attempt.
“Nobody cares about you dude. JUSTICE FOR CASSIE,” IG user Kaylanthomas_ commented on a November 6 post.
Diddy’s trial is currently set for next May, but it seems there will be plenty of throwback pictures and videos to watch on his account until then.
