Drake Shades Steve Lacy and The Weeknd on xQc’s Stream

And gives an update on his collab album with PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Drizzy took some time off from smizing and pretending to be a real Houstonian to appear on Canadian streamer xQc’s webcast on November 24. With Kendrick Lamar dropping a surprise new project on November 22, it was great timing for the rapper to try to show that he is still in the game.

However, those on social media (and in the streamer’s comments) decided to tear Drake to shreds instead for attempting to look nonchalant over K. Dot’s consistent butt-whooping this year. He had plenty of news to share, though, with those tuned in to support—and those ready to flame him up in service to Kendrick.

Drake delivers some (not-so-friendly) fire

Rather than say anything to anyone’s face, Drake took the time to sneak diss those he currently has beef with and even past collaborators. Of course, he had to address what Kendrick said on his surprise album GNX as soon as he walked in.

“I do music in case you didn’t know, I am here as you can see fully intact, mind, body, and soul, in case you were wondering. You need facts to take me out, fairy tales won’t do it. Cheers to everybody,” Drizzy said before taking a shot with xQc.

The duo went on to listen to some music while entertaining the stream. When Steve Lacy’s (who produced K. Dot’s song “PRIDE.”) smash hit “Bad Habit” came on, though, he called the musician a “fragile opp” while backhandedly showing love to the track.

Rather than getting upset and dropping a diss track of his own, Lacy has been trolling Drizzy online and leaning into the humor of his “fragile opp” moniker.

Drake’s critiques of his peers didn’t stop there. He asked the streamer to turn off The Weeknd’s song “Starboy” because “we’re real 6ixers, we don’t listen to that,” he said. Even though he quickly asked for that track to be switched, he let the stream know that he liked Metro Boomin’s song “Trance” with a Joker-like smile on his face.

As much as someone can try to ban certain words and trolls in the chat, it’s hard to catch them all. Regardless, Champagne Papi made sure to express his gratitude to them all just in time for Thanksgiving.

“You guys are ruthless, but I have a lot of love for you guys, man. We love all the s*** talkers, all the crip walkers, we love you guys, man. It is what it is. We love the chirps, trust me,” he said while attempting not to look butthurt.

The PARTYNEXTDOOR album and Australia tour are coming

While Kendrick does more laps around Drake than a NASCAR race, Drizzy continues to make moves. He gave an update on his collaboration album with fellow Canadian artist PARTYNEXTDOOR and said it’s “70-75% done. Shoutout to PX, cooking right now. The album sounds incredible. Shoutout to the Six.”

The two have previously worked on tracks like 2018’s “With You” and 2019’s “Come and See Me.” However, this will be their first full project together, with fans eager to hear the new music since it was first announced in August.

If you hope to see Drake show his face at the Super Bowl, think again. The rapper had a surprise announcement for his Australian fans—he is starting his Anita Man Wynn Tour there ironically on the same day as K. Dot’s NOLA performance. Nothing distracts from heartbreak like diving into work.

“I am coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. It’s actually funny enough called the Anita Max Wynn Tour. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast…Anita Max Wynn Tour, from February 9th to March something,” he said. The tour name is inspired by the viral clip of Drake showing off his “alter ego” last December.

Despite what the rapper has planned, Kendrick still hasn’t let his foot off his neck.

Kendrick Continues His Victory Lap

Text messages were released the morning after the livestream of K. Dot laughing about Drake’s fired shots towards him, amused by the sneak diss.

It’s clear that K. Dot won the rap battle, but his victory lap won’t let up. His newest album, GNX, is dominating the charts with the potential to break even more records for the rapper this year. Tracks like “tv off” are gaining so much steam on social media that even pastors are using the lyrics in their sermons.

On top of it all, he dropped the music video for “squabble up” on November 25, an old-school love letter to L.A. Drake can appear on as many livestreams and drop as many tour dates as he wants to. It still won’t erase the stain on his record, courtesy of Compton’s own.
