Kendrick Lamar again takes the top spot on this month’s Power Rankings and finishes the year victorious. His surprise release, GNX, is officially the fastest album of 2024 to reach one billion streams on Spotify. The songs “luther,” “squabble up,” and “tv off” are also now platinum-eligible, with over one million units sold in the United States.
He announced the Grand National Tour with SZA on December 3 and appeared on the R&B singer’s album SOS Deluxe: LANA on the song “30 for 30” which is also making waves on social media. Along with receiving end-of-the-year awards like Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Star of the Year,” the Compton native looks like he will be in takeover mode next year.
