Kendrick Lamar

K. Dot popped out and showed people what he was about over the past month, taking the number one spot on Power Rankings once again. His “The Pop Out” show on Juneteenth at the Kia Forum was a monumental event online and in person. It was the greatest display of West Coast unity the world has ever seen, bringing together NBA players, rival gangs, and music industry heavyweights on stage. After the show, he and other participating artists donated $200K to L.A. community initiatives and charities.

Don Toliver

Don Toliver released his highly anticipated fourth studio album, HARDSTONE PSYCHO, on June 14, earning him a top spot on Power Rankings. The album got the #1 spot on the Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums Chart for the first time and debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart. An impressive feature list produced some of the album’s best tracks with Kodak Black, Travis Scott, Metro Boomin, and Future.

Gunna

Keeping his foot on the gas, Gunna earned the third spot on Power Rankings. He delivered a solid performance along with Tyla and Skillibeng of their song “Jump” at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards. He dropped new heat, teaming up with Offset for their song “Style Rare,” and jumped on IDK’s “TiFFANY” single, which already has a music video. His Bittersweet Tour has now gone international as he stops in major cities like Paris and London.

LUCKI

Lucki takes the fourth spot on Power Rankings. He dropped his newest album, Gemini, on June 14. The day before, he performed at an album release show the weekend of Summer Smash. The album debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200. His music video for his song “Gerskiway” featuring Veeze and Rylo Rodriguez has over a million views on YouTube and became a fast fan favorite from the album. Capitalizing on his recent success, he is about to go on his Gemini Tour nationwide.

Moneybagg Yo

Moneybagg Yo is number five on Power Rankings. He dropped his newest album, SPEAK NOW, on June 14 and a fire freestyle on Power 106 a couple of days before the album’s release. His song with Morgan Wallen, “Whiskey Whiskey,” debuted at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and held that spot for two consecutive weeks. After seeing the success of the song, he is thinking of potentially doing a country EP. For now, you can blast his old and new hits through his speaker collab with the electronic brand JBL.

Eminem

The Detroit rapper earns the sixth spot on Power Rankings. His song “Houdini” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video for the song is still growing in popularity, with over 97 million views and counting. He was announced as one of the headliners for the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix this October. He even got into his video game bag and revealed “Houdini” emotes, which are now available in Fortnite. With his highly anticipated album The Death of Slim Shady dropping July 12, let’s see what’s next in the world of Eminem.

Future

Future drops a few spots to number seven on Power Rankings. He was featured on the song “BBY Goat” from LUCKI’s new album Gemini and appeared on Don Toliver’s “Purple Rain.” He continues to tease an upcoming mixtape, but fans are still eating off his collab albums with Metro Boomin. His song with K. Dot and Metro Boomin, “Like That,” is still getting played from basketball stadiums to clubs and remains in the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 more than three months after its release.

Travis Scott

La Flame takes the eighth spot on Power Rankings. He turned his Miami arrest into a trending meme and an opportunity to give back. He put his mug shot on t-shirts to sell to his fans, with proceeds from the sales going towards his Cactus Jack Foundation. He got into his features bag and is on the new tape from Sauce Walka, Saucefather 2, Don Toliver’s HARDSTONE PSYCHO, and Mustard’s “Parking Lot” single. Currently, he has taken his Circus Maximus Tour internationally, bringing the rage to countries like the Netherlands and Germany.

Drake

It shouldn’t be a huge surprise why Champagne Papi dropped to number nine on Power Rankings. K. Dot’s “Pop Out” show was renamed on Twitter as “Drake’s Funeral” or “I Hate Drake: The Musical” and broadcast on Amazon Prime. But there’s no denying his relevancy as beef between lesser-known artists wouldn’t trend for so long or become a chapter in rap history books. In terms of new music, he was featured twice on Camila Cabello’s new album, C, XOXO.

Roddy Ricch

Roddy Ricch takes the final spot on Power Rankings. He was one of the surprise performers at Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” show. He also dropped his new track, “911,” building off the momentum of his single “Survivor’s Remorse” from the end of May to get fans ready for his upcoming project, The Navy Album. The music video for “911” came out on June 27 and has over 1M views and counting. Roddy’s been plagued with washed allegations by fans, but his new music seems to be the first to silence haters in years.
