Rappers With the Most Gold and Platinum Songs

These 17 artists are the certified hitmakers so far this decade.

When a song or album drops, you’ll hear about chart rankings and first-week sales in the following weeks, but how songs perform over time is the true testament to their success. The bragging rights of top two and it’s not two sound great, but nothing looks as good as the gold and platinum records artists can hang on their wall when their music becomes RIAA certified.

A song goes Gold when it sells 500,000 units, Platinum when it sells 1 million units, and Diamond when it sells 10 million units. The biggest hits progress in commercial success for years after their release and add some serious credentials to an artist’s rap resume.

We broke down the seventeen rappers with the most Gold and Platinum songs (so far) this decade, from emo rap GOATs like Juice WRLD to artists that serve up classic Southern hospitality like Moneybagg Yo.

Lil Baby — 73 Gold & Platinum Songs

Lil Baby showed that he had “Sum 2 Prove” with his music — and has the certifications to prove it. “Drip Too Hard” is the 86th song in RIAA history to reach diamond status and was nominated for Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards. “Yes Indeed” earned the ATL artist his first Billboard Hot 100 entry in the Top Ten. His other song with Lil Baby, “Close Friends,” also did well on the chart with a number 28 debut.
