The Internet Reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s Toronto Tour Stop

The only Canadian city on his ‘Grand National Tour’ is Drake’s hometown.

Another day, another Kendrick move that makes haters worldwide realize they’re not hating hard enough. We’re three days into December, and K. Dot’s already made headlines big enough to eclipse any other rap news this month. His new album GNX scored the No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 and occupied the entire Top 5 of the Hot 100.

The album secured Kendrick’s fourth consecutive No. 1 album and fifth No. 1 song, selling 319K equivalent album units in its first week. But before Drake could cry litigation and steal the spotlight, Kendrick announced a North American stadium tour with SZA for 2025.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that the only Canadian stop on the Grand National Tour is in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. There are three reasons why this multigenerational hate will likely get the 6ix god’s braids in a bunch.

First, Kendrick booked the Rogers Centre, Toronto’s biggest venue, with a capacity of 55K. Second, Drake has never performed there, and nothing says “Not Like Us” quite like selling out that stadium before him. Third, the Toronto stop is on June 12th, three days before Father’s Day.

Naturally, X users had a field day with this announcement. Below, find the best reactions to incite chaos in any pro-Drake group chat.

Tickets for Kendrick’s tour go on sale Friday, Dec. 6, at 10 am local time on grandnationaltour.com.
