On August 22, Lil Yachty had the crashout of all crashouts on IG Live, tearing his former podcast host Mitch and former Concrete Boys member Karrahbooo to shreds.
Lil Boat getting on social media seemed to be provoked by a viral post about Karrahbooo pulling up to a Red Lobster and telling one of the employees that she was bullied in the group and then was kicked out.
Yachty made some strong accusations during the rant, saying that Karrahbooo allegedly owes him $900,000 and that he wrote her famous On the Radar Freestyle, even leaking the reference track after.
The two have been fighting for months to discredit each other, but now, Karrahbooo is hitting Yachty where it hurts.
It’s Karrahbooo’s turn to “strike”
Karrahbooo joined DDG on his podcast No Ordinary Podcast in an episode posted on October 22 with plenty to say about Yachty and his 2023 project Let’s Start Here.
“You know what’s crazy? Boat used writers for Let’s Start Here. For that album, he had a whole team of writers. Like what are you doing, bro … Next,” she said during the podcast.
DJ Akademiks, in his typical messy fashion, posted the clip on his Instagram page to which Yachty directly responded. “No one has ever wrote for me ever just for the record,” Lil Yachty said, addressing Karrahboo’s claims.
However, Karrahbooo wasn’t just going to let this slide.
Time to pull out the receipts
Ensuring that she gets her lick back, Karrahbooo went on her IG stories to make some posts of her own. She let the choppa sing and posted Yachty’s alleged songwriters, including “Jacob Portrait, a member of the psychedelic band Unknown Mortal Orchestra who is credited as a producer and songwriter on Yachty’s Let’s Start Here song ‘the BLACK seminole.’” She also posted Teo Holm, who has songwriting and production credits on the song “drive ME crazy!” on the same album.
Along with the songwriters, she attempted to end Yachty’s claims that he wrote her biggest hits. She posted a screenshot of her sharing an MP3 of “Running Late” to him and his response saying, “Wow. Amazing.” She added a caption to the screenshot, saying that there were “No hard feelings but u not finna keep lying on me.”
She went on to state that “tryna hurt each other on the internet is stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want no parts but u gone stop lying on me I’m putting my foot down young man.” Nevertheless, there may be more behind the scenes than meets the eye.
Are Yachty and Karrahbooo “lovers and friends?”
To close out her receipt carousel, Karrahbooo shared a text exchange she had with “Boaty” in which they both said that they love each other. While the screenshot says yesterday, it is still unconfirmed when the conversation occurred and if the two have ever been in a romantic relationship. Fans, regardless, are starting to think that this beef goes deeper than just the music.
“Yeah they definitely going through a breakup,” Instagram user nostaw.sv said in DJ Akademiks’s comment section on October 24.
One thing is for sure, though — many fans of both artists are tired of hearing about this drama. “This is basically high school gossip,” Instagram user jay_pablo15 also said in the comments.
There seems to be no end in sight, even if this is all petty. Lil Yachty hasn’t responded yet to Karrahbooo’s recent accusations, but it’s safe to say a response is most likely coming sooner rather than later.
