With the first month of 2020 coming to a close, let’s rewind the clock and take a look at 10 of the hit songs from the year 2010!
Remember These?
First up, “Runaway” by Kanye West featuring Pusha T and some extraordinary instrumentals. This track was originally released off of his album My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy
“Love The Way You Lie” by Eminem ft. Rihanna was a hit single off of the 2010 album Recovery
Wacka Flocka Flame gained an incredible following after the release of this track. “No Hands” ft. Wale & Roscoe Dash was an undeniable hit and was originally released as a single.
Off of the album successful album Versus, Usher claimed another hit with the release of “There Goes My Baby.” This record went on to win a Grammy award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance!
Queen Nicki released “Moment 4 Life” and it can be found the project Pink Friday. It went on to become nominated for the Grammy award for best rap performance.
“My Chick Bad” by Ludacris ft. Nicki Minaj is a song that was heard on almost every hip hop radio station for a moment in time. It was released off of the album Battle of the Sexes.
Nominated for the Grammy award best rap solo performance, “Over” by Drake took the world by storm. Some saw it as a potential one hit wonder, but over time we can see that Drake hasn’t gone anywhere. This track can be found off of his early album Thank Me Later.
B.o.B.’s “Airplanes” ft. Haley Williams of Paramore was an incredible track that showcased the pop side of B.o.B. This track was released as a single and can also be found on the similarly titled album Airplanes.
“Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa was perfectly timed as the young rapper was showing support throughout the music video to his team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. This single would eventually be apart of his third studio album Rolling Papers.
And last but not least, you can’t for get about this instant hit! “All The Way Turnt Up” by Roscoe Dash ft. Soulja Boy Tell’em. You can still hear this track played in the background of many sporting events. It can be found on Roscoe Dash’s album Ready Set Go!

Hopefully you haven’t forgotten about any of these hit songs! But if you did, don’t feel too bad. This genre is constantly changing and evolving from the past. It’s nice to take a look back and have some appreciation for a song you might have loved in the past.
