A bit-size showcase of the hottest records to grace the industry this month.
Real Talk – Roddy Ricch
The first track from Roddy Ricch’s latest EP, The Big 3, ‘Real Talk” is a quintessential addition to the Compton rapper’s discography. The track boasts the classic Roddy Ricch flow that fans of the artist have come to know and love. Produced by DJ Mustard and J Holt, “Real Talk” features a distinct guitar sample that gives the track an easygoing vibe, perfect for enjoying a warm summer evening.
Vette Motors – YoungBoy Never Broke Again
A slight departure from the abrasive sound that most YoungBoy songs give listeners, “Vetted Motors” is a more melodic and hypnotic experience. NBA floats on the piano-heavy beat with grace while still maintaining the unique YoungBoy swag that fans love. This track is definitely a must-spin this month, especially for YB fans! #YBbetter
Riot – Nardo Wick
Just in time for summer, Nardo Wick delivers a grimy, bass-heavy tale of gunplay and revenge with ‘Riot.” The song’s relaxed yet grungy sound gives off a vibe that is almost sinister, leaving listeners with an exciting and eerie feeling like Halloween in June. One of the purest and most underrated trap titles of the month, “Riot” is the perfect track for fans of trap, grunge, and drill rap this month.
Grind – Cochise
A sleeper from Chocise’s new album THE INSPECTION, “Grind” is a futuristic trap track mixed with elements of electronic and pop music to create a three-minute symphony of sounds guaranteed to get your head bopping. Featuring the usual entrancing flow and casual anime references Cochise’s audience have come to expect, this track is a perfect summer vibe for any activity.
Good Day – SoFaygo
Underground upstart SoFaygo dropped this gem on his latest EP, B4PINK. The track features a catchy melody that’s jubilant and uplifting. The song is a feel-good pop-inspired experience that all can enjoy. A strong effort from SoFaygo to kick off the summer, and a huge recommendation for fans of hyper pop and bubblegum rap.
Callin – DJ Charlie B & Duvy
Toronto talents DJ Charlie B and Duvy combine their powers on this banger from Charlie B’s newest album, Across The Board. The two team up to create a groovy, but lowkey track that stays true to the blend of rap and R&B sounds that Toronto has become known for. With stellar production from not only Charlie B, but DJ Ashton C and LG, the ear-pleasing sound of “Callin” quickly became one of our favorite tracks this June.
