After scaring family, friends and fans with a series of unsettling tweets on Friday (October 8), rapper Kodak Black took to Instagram on Saturday (October 9) to clarify his desperate sounding words.
The Friday tweet had read, “So Lonely Depressed Sad & Fucked Up. Nobody Love Me Nobody Cares … I’m Everywhere @ Once … Friends Playin Wit My Head … Girls Playin With My Heart. Wish I Can Go Back To The Start I’ll Never Be Famous. Sitting In My Room Crying Feel Like Killing Myself.”
And shortly after the Friday episode, Kodak erased all of his social media accounts which only added to the scare.
But Saturday’s Instagram post – screenshots of a lengthy stream-of-consciousness on the Notes app on iPhone – suggests that the rapper might be recovering as he downplayed his comments to some degree and offered an apology for the scare. “I mean maybe that wasn’t the best thing to tweet and very selfish of me to let a thought like that succumb,” he said.” I understand I made a bold statement, but don’t worry I’m not suicidal,” he continued.
Kodak also selflessly used his platform and experience to reach out to others with mental health issues. “Mental Health and depression is real…” “No matter how strong you are everyone have their days and it’s ok…”
This weekend’s real-life drama comes days after a judge ordered the young rapper to a 90-day rehabilitation stay.
