JAY-Z is once again proving why he is a multi-industry disrupter and music mogul with his latest business move.
Reports from multiple outlets including Complex confirm Marcy Venture Partners, the investment firm co-founded by JAY-Z, is partnering with Iddris Sandu’s tech incubation outfit spatial LABS.
The partnership between Marcy Venture Partners and spatial LABS will forge exploration and development in the realms of tech and culture through innovations in metaverse and blockchain technology.
Sandu revealed specifics of the partnership, and his plans to launch blockchain-enabled platform LNQ, which he explained, “Aims to make the metaverse more accessible and provide creators with decentralized tools to engage with their communities through LNQ’s proprietary, real-time processing stack,” in a press release obtained by Complex.
Iddris Sandu also celebrated the news of the partnership in an Instagram post on Tuesday (October 12), sharing the words of JAY-Z’s praise to champion the beginning of their project.
“Iddris has a conscious world view and a youth centric vision that is innovative and refreshing to witness. We share similar parallels in how we imagine impacting people in our lifetime. Partnering with him on this journey and others is very exciting,” Sandu wrote in the caption quoting HOV.
The 24-year-old architectural technologist has been working with companies such as apple, Nike, Google and more for well over a decade and notably worked alongside decease rapper Nipsey Hussle since as early as 2017.
Most recently, Iddris Sandu joined forces with Kanye West in the midst of his massive DONDA album rollout to spearhead the technology behind the YZY Stem player.
