Kanye West is not showing any signs of moving on from his soon-to-be-divorced wife, Kim Kardashian, despite his attempts to prove otherwise – i.e. Ye’s public flaunting of Julia Fox. Signs of Kanye’s inability to let go appeared on January 14 when TMZ reported that audio of a new collaborative song, “Eazy” between Kanye and The Game surfaced in which West verbally attacked his estranged wife’s boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Ye said, “God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.” But Pete took the slight in stride, finding the entire ordeal humorous.
“Pete thinks it’s totally hilarious,” a source told Page Six, referring to the diss track. “Not only just that,” he or she continued, “he thinks the whole [tabloid drama with him, West and Kardashian] is hilarious. He loves it.”
Then TMZ reported on 1/28 that Kanye allegedly spread a rumor that Pete had AIDS, to boot.
Now, approximately one month later, Ye is back at it again, once again weaponizing a song in an apparent attempt to either send Pete Davidson a strong message or embarrass him publicly. On Five Foreign’s new single, “City of Gods,” featuring Kanye West and Alicia Keys, Ye spits “This afternoon, a hundred goons pulling’ up to SNL (What?) When I pull up, it’s dead on arrival.”
Then it is Kim’s turn. “And if I let ’em have my wife, n****s should thank me…With this Balenciaga and Balenci’ boots and a new blue Yankee.”
Since the diss, we have not heard from Pete. We did, however, hear Ye drop some other interesting propositions in the very same song. “After I buy the Bulls, I’ma go link with Mike,” he raps.
Whether any of these new rumors come to fruition remains to be seen.
