They say ‘what goes up, must come down,’ and if a recent article by People holds water, the same is true for the modest, 1950’s era home that sits across the street from Kim Kardashian in Hidden Hills, CA. That is because Kanye West bought the humble homestead with the sole intent to demolish it and rebuild something more fitting atop the rubble.
“Kanye’s new house is a teardown. He only bought it for the location. It’s near Kim and the kids. He has a vision for the house and plans on starting construction ASAP,” a source told People. “It will be family-friendly. He wants to be able to have the kids over as much as possible. Living only in Malibu was making visits more tricky for Kanye.”
The Malibu home to which this source is referring was a $53 million purchase that is only 30 minutes from the new location, but apparently it is 30 minutes too far.
Some speculated that Kanye bought the home to be near Kim after many of Ye’s recent attempts to reconcile his marriage have been met with stiff resistance from Kardashian.
It is unclear how Kim Kardashian feels about the arrangement.
Kanye purchased the home that he intends to tear down for $4.5 million.
