Lil Uzi Vert or simply Lil Uzi is without a doubt of the biggest names in the music industry. Uzi has been on top of his game since his early introduction with “Luv Is Rage” in 2015. We’ve covered Lil Uzi in the past, and it appears that fans and critics demand that Uzi also goes back to the past.
Lil Uzi gave us “Eternal Atake” his second studio album earlier this year and even though it did incredible numbers earning a number 4 spot on the best selling albums list of 2020. The highly anticipated and successful project did not seem to stand out as much as his previous work regardless of the sales.
Most people who listen to Uzi could agree that his best piece of work was in 2016 and 2017 with two mixtapes in 2016 “Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World” and “The Perfect Luv Tape” and his first studio album “Luv Is Rage 2” in 2017. This was Uzi on top of the world and the success of these 3 projects had raised the bar so high for the quality hit songs that we weren’t sure if we’d ever get the same Uzi again.
The “Eternal Atake” album was solid but it could not compare to the timeless 2016 and 2017 Lil Uzi we fell in love with. The fans have expressed their feelings telling Uzi to go back to his 2016 and 2017 days of rap.
We can’t ignore the “Money Longer”, “You Was Right” and “XO Tour Llife3” Lil Uzi and clearly neither can the fans. Lil Uzi responded to the fans with “okay gosh I will start tonight”. We don’t expect Uzi to start “tonight” nor do we expect to hear the 16-17 Uzi any time this year.
The “Eternal Atake” album has been doing so well we cant imagine Uzi coming out with another project before the end of this year. We already heard a few additional singles post-album release featuring Future on “Patek” and “Over Your Head” which somewhat resembled the old Uzi but not exactly either.
We know one thing for sure, Uzi lives for his fans. He loves engaging with them at his shows, on social media and always expresses his appreciation for their support. With that being said, we strongly believe that Uzi will take this with a grain of salt, and starting next year Uzi might travel back in time to bring us the 2016 and 2017 Uzi we all can’t get enough of.
Stay tuned for more on Lil Uzi in the coming weeks.
