A lot of prominent hip-hop artists and fans will be forced to make new plans for Halloween this year. Anyone that was expecting to be in Arlington, Texas on October 30-31 at AT&T Stadium for Post Malone’s third annual Posty Fest will be disappointed to learn that the event has been temporarily cancelled.
“Due to logistical issues impacting the production of the festival, Posty Fest is rescheduling to 2022,” says a rep for Live Nation. The rep continued to explain to Variety, “Refunds available at point of purchase. We can’t wait to make 2022 our biggest year yet. Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you soon.”
According to Variety, the pandemic is the reason for the cancellation just like it was in 2020. This time around, it appears that there were challenges implementing COVID-19 protocols in Texas, “which has looser protocols than most states,” says Rap-Up.
Posty fest was launched in 2018 and has always offered famous headliners. This year Megan the Stallion, Lil Uzi Vert and Roddy Ricch are among the cancelled, star performers.
