To the delight of his many fans who have been anxiously awaiting the drop of his upcoming album Utopia, Travis Scott announced today (November 4) on Twitter that he will be releasing new music at midnight. “SOME NEW MUSIC AT MIDNIGHT. AHAHAHHSBDBDDKRKHEB,” he wrote.
Could it be a full project? Nobody knows, but there is a lot of speculation on social media that it will be a new single from Utopia called “Distopia.” Adding legitimacy to this rumor is a picture – attached to Scott’s Twitter post – of the cover of “Weekly World Truths” newspaper whose headline reads, “The True Dystopia Is Here.”
It is likely no accident that Scott’s announcement coincides with his Houston “Astroworld Festival” which kicks off tomorrow. Therefore, fans will anticipate a Utopia tease during Scott’s set, especially given that Scott previewed a new track from the album called “Escape Plan” at Rolling Loud, according to HipHopDX.
Joining Travis Scott to headline are 21 Savage, Baby Keem, SZA, Young Thug, Lil Baby and Metro Boomin. Surprise guests are also expected.
