A bite sized showcase of our picks for the best underrated tracks of the month!
Temporary – 6LACK (feat. Don Toliver)
6LACK and Don Toliver team up to deliver powerful vocals and immaculate vibes on this cut from 6LACK’s latest studio album “Since I Have A Lover.” The upbeat R&B track boasts a captivating chorus performed by Toliver, with 6LACK dropping a double helping of fire breakup verses. A must spin this month, perfect for your modern R&B playlist.
Kiss N’ Tell – Mike Dimes (feat. Dro Kenji)
Another amazing collaboration this March comes from two of the hottest new rappers in the game right now! Mike Dimes and Dro Kenji link up for the second time on “Kiss N’Tell,” dropping synergistic verses over a trumpet heavy instrumental with all the class and bravado we’ve come to expect from these young artists. A great addition to your gym mix or really any high energy hip-hop playlist.
Popular – Dina Ayada
Dina Ayada absolutely delivers on her new single “Popular,” released mid-March. This ultra catchy track utilizes non stop bars and vocals, which fused with its powerful production creates a beautifully bewitching sound. Reminiscent of Kodie Shane or Coi Leray, this song brings wonderful vibes, especially perfect for any car jam or impromptu dance break.
I Know – Kanii (PR1SVX Edit)
DMV rapper Kanii hit the nail on the head with the release of his newest single “I Know.” Its released was promptly followed by a number of edits and remixes. Most notably, the PR1SVX edit, which incorporates an insanely fun mix of hyper pop and dance elements into this groovy rap hit. Easily one of the most viral songs of the month, “I Know,” had nearly 200,000 videos created using the sound in March on TikTok alone. This high octane dance mix is the perfect pick to get bodies moving during your next function!
850 (We On Top) – IDK (feat. Rich The Kid)
The latest single from UK rap star IDK, “850 (We On Top),” does not disappoint! Boasting a great verse from IDK, one of the hottest Rich The Kid verses we’ve heard in years, and their combined talents on the hook, this track is a nonstop rap rollercoaster. The song also features production from BLWYRMND and SB Poalo, which elevated the track to new heights. Most notably, introducing the crazy, mid-track beat switch that gives “850” a new layer of complexity.
Don’t Play With It (Remix) – Lola Brooke (feat. Latto & Yung Miami)
Lola Brooke ran it back this month, dropping a new remix of her hit track “Don’t Play With It,” which in our opinion is even better than the original. On this version, Lola enlists Latto and Yung Miami, two of the hottest women in rap right now, to breathe new life into this relentless rap hit! The trio showcase their savagery while delivering verse after verse, while the now instantly recognizable chorus keeps listeners singing along!
Hottest – Lil Keed (feat. Big Sean)
This track from Lil Keed’s new posthumous release, “Keed Talk To ‘Em 2,” is a great addition to the late rapper’s catalog, and our playlists alike. Boasting an amazing Big Sean verse, in addition to Lil Keed’s unique vocal stylings, the song is a standout amongst both this month’s offerings and Keed’s discography. Another great spin this month, and one of our personal favorite drops this March.
