Young Kulture will now have another sibling to grow up with under the guidance of her superstar parents Cardi B and Offset.
According to a report from TMZ, after going into labor during the holiday weekend, Cardi B gave birth to baby no. 2 at a New York area hospital with her multi-platinum rapper hubby present for the delivery. The 28-year-old Atlantic Records rapper and her 29-year-old partner Offset welcomed the birth of their newborn baby boy into their tight-knit family dynamic — which has been dedicated to their 3-year-old daughter Kulture until now.
In an Instagram post on Monday (September 6) Cardi wrote, “9/4/21,” symbolizing her baby’s birthday, on a photo of their family unit, minus Kulture.
“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” Cardi B and Offset said in a statement to PEOPLE. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
In hindsight, it was a long, somewhat tumultuous road to baby no. 2 for Cardi B and Offset.
After an infidelity scandal, which led to Cardi B filing divorce proceedings in 2020, the “Up” lyricist called the divorce off in November after being showered with gifts, which included a brand new Rolls Royce, for her 28th birthday by Offset in October.
Then, following the rekindling of their relationship, Cardi B took the stage with the Migos in June at the BET Awards and revealed her protruding baby bump and went on to affirm the rumors that baby no. 2 was on the way, with a maternity photo debuted on Twitter.
