TMZ acquired surveillance footage that may help find the shooter that took Nipsey Hussle’s life on the afternoon of March 31, 2019. The footage may be difficult for some viewers to watch so here is a breakdown of what can be observed.
The camera that captured the footage appears to be across the parking lot from Nipsey’s The Marathon Clothing store and is positioned above a loading dock of some sort. It shows a man approaching from the sidewalk on the left side of the screen.
While the footage quality makes it hard to make out significant details, the individual in question can be seen approaching several other people in front of the store when he presumably began shooting. One man, likely the late Nipsey Hussle, fell to the ground while others fled across the parking lot and the shooter retreated the way he came.
Cell phone footage of Nipsey being loaded into an ambulance was also acquired by TMZ and it looks like the fallen victim in the security footage matches the video of EMTs rushing him to the hospital where he would later be pronounced dead. Given the fact that there were numerous security cameras in the area, this may be the first of more videos of the crime yet to come.
The clip is about 32 seconds long and there is no audio.
