Following an Off the Record interview on Wednesday in which rapper Kodak Black responded to questions in a somewhat detached and despondent tone, Kodak took to social media Thursday to share some intimate and brutally-honest insight into his desperate mood, posting on Twitter “So Lonely Depressed & F*cked Up Nobody Love Me Nobody Cares…I’m Everywhere at Once…Friends Playin In My Head…Girls Playin Wit My Heart, Wish I Can Go Back To The Start I’ll Never Be Famous.”
Minutes later, Kodak was back tweeting, but this time his message was not so cryptic. “Sitting In My Room Crying Feel Like Killing Myself.”
Black erased the tweets soon after, and he deactivated his social media accounts as well. But pictures of the deleted tweets were already in circulation.
All of this week’s Kodak Black press follows earlier news of a failed drug test from September, which violated the terms of his supervised release from prison. As a result, a judge ordered the rapper to a 90-day treatment program which he reportedly began. Before departing on the journey, Black spoke from the courtroom about addiction and his admiration of sobriety.
His choice of words in Thursday’s Tweets – including a reference to being “f*cked up” (which could be interpreted literally) – is a likely revelation of the rapper’s ongoing struggles with recovery in one capacity or another.
