Gunna says that recording at Young Thug’s “Snake Pit Studio” – the main hub of Thug’s Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records – is a one of a kind experience, according to Complex. Not only is the spot always jumping – with Young Thug working 18 hour days – but it is apparently filled with exotic animals including a snake, a tarantula and a bengal cat. This one of a kind studio energy is a combination of what Complex calls fun, serious and bizarre.
And the industry has caught on. Gunna says if you show up on any given day, you might find superstars like Future or Travis Scott working and kicking it with the animals.
“They all family,” Gunna says referring to the animals. “We treat them like family.”
Further, Gunna says that Young Thug likes to drop animal knowledge on his guests. “He actually knows a lot of really cool facts about many, many animals. Sometimes it is shocking,” YSL rapper Strick agrees.
When asked what kind of things go on in the “Snake Pit,” Gunna replied:
“What hasn’t happened in the studio!?”
